What is Recruitability?
The Liverpool Cathedral Award in Recruitability is designed to bridge the gap between unemployment and employment.
Recruitability helps unemployed people to get themselves recruited, a step that is missed by traditional Employability courses which focus on making people good employees. Modules such as Teamwork and Equality & Diversity aren’t relevant to a job seeker and often employers either don’t care about them or have their own company specific training once a person has been offered a job.
How are we different from Employability?
We focus on getting people through the job searching process up to being offered a job, this allows us to deliver targeted and high quality sessions on topics that we have expert knowledge in.
- Job Searching
- CV Writing
- Application Forms
- Interview Techniques
- Social Media
What else is different?
We are not from traditional teaching backgrounds so have a much better understanding that sitting in a classroom can be tiresome and unproductive. We keep sessions concise and information rich which allows learners to take as much as they want or need from sessions. There are no compulsory worksheets or coursework so learners who struggle with reading and writing or English can still get a lot out of the sessions.
