Recruitability

What is Recruitability?

The Liverpool Cathedral Award in Recruitability is designed to bridge the gap between unemployment and employment.MRL_8820

Recruitability helps unemployed people to get themselves recruited, a step that is missed by traditional Employability courses which focus on making people good employees. Modules such as Teamwork and Equality & Diversity aren’t relevant to a job seeker and often employers either don’t care about them or have their own company specific training once a person has been offered a job.

How are we different from Employability?

We focus on getting people through the job searching process up to being offered a job, this allows us to deliver targeted and high quality sessions on topics that we have expert knowledge in.

  • Job Searching
  • CV Writing
  • Application Forms
  • Interview Techniques
  • Social Media

What else is different?

We are not from traditional teaching backgrounds so have a much better understanding that sitting in a classroom can be tiresome and unproductive. We keep sessions concise and information rich which allows learners to take as much as they want or need from MRL_8843sessions. There are no compulsory worksheets or coursework so learners who struggle with reading and writing or English can still get a lot out of the sessions.
